Meet the Portrait Artist, Corisa Moreno

I come from a family of artists.

My grandmother drew animal portraits in pastels, including my own cat. My father was an abstract painter, which shaped the way I learned to see. My mother, a true maker of all things, taught me to color match before I could read. I didn’t choose painting so much as grow into it, the way you grow into a language spoken around you from birth.

Each pet portrait is a work of fine art, crafted with visible brushwork and texture. This is an artistic interpretation, not a reproduction. As I paint, I am searching for a presence, the spirit and personality that made your companion unmistakably their own.

Your painting is an heirloom, created slowly by hand for the homes where animals are truly loved.

I look forward to working with you.    -Corisa

Having this painting has helped tremendously with our grief. Being able to see Zooky's little face every day has been a great gift.

  • Each portrait takes six to eight weeks of dedicated studio time, and I take on a limited number of commissions at once so every piece gets that full attention. Because of this, most clients receive their finished portrait three to six months after booking, depending on where they fall in my current schedule. A small number of expedited spots open up now and then for a 20% fee. Reach out to ask about availability and your place in the queue. I typically book a season or two ahead.

  • Each portrait is packed with care and shipped via UPS Ground, no signature required, unless you'd prefer a different method. Shipping is added to your final balance and is due before your piece heads your way.

  • Yes! Please let me know in your inquiry if you would like to schedule a time to do a video chat. We can also communicate via email.
