Corisa Moreno is a Los Angeles–based painter with an MFA from California College of the Arts, additional study at the Art Students League of New York, Parsons School of Design, and Christie’s Education in London, with over 20 years of studio practice behind every brushstroke.

She captures in each portrait not only a likeness, but also a particular attentiveness, an energy, a presence that lives beyond the photograph. Her work is painted on canvas with museum quality materials and finished only when the painting truly holds the animal’s spirit.
​
Raised in Hawaii and shaped by years living and working abroad in Japan, Spain, and England, Moreno’s work has always been rooted in how people form lasting connections with one another and with the animals they love.
Her artwork hangs in homes across the U.S. and internationally, made for the rooms where the memory is meant to last.

Studio Cori Moreno Origin
My family calls me Cori. Studio Cori Moreno is named for that version of myself, the one rooted in home, connection, and the deep appreciation I’ve had for animals. Animals have always been part of my family and part of how I find joy, companionship, and unconditional love.
